The story behind the ratings. Each post takes one chain, sets out what it actually shipped and when, with a primary source on every dated claim, and ends with the rating this index gives it today.
How to read this feed The events are historical and dated. The rating is present tense and ours, read live from the index rather than typed into the copy, so a post cannot claim a rating we no longer hold. This publication began rating on 12 August 2026, and nothing here is backdated before it.

Zcash's roadmap citations were repointed on 19 August, and the recovery path turned out to be live

Correction: four claims comparing one chain to the whole index were wrong
An audit found four sentences that ranked one chain against the rest of the index and had quietly stopped being true.

MemeCore's consensus citation now points at a page we can actually read
Two validator details came from a search summary rather than the source itself, so they're gone.

Four layer 1s enter the index, and one is held back for want of a readable source
We ran the inclusion rule against live market sizes instead of memory, and it produced four new rows.

NEAR Protocol joins the index with ML-DSA-65 live on mainnet
A rotatable-key account model turns a post-quantum upgrade into one transaction, but nobody has to make it.

Bitcoin Cash entered the index above Bitcoin, and the gap needs explaining
Neither chain changed how it signs. The difference sits in the scripting layer, and one weak dimension keeps the gap wider than it may stay.

Tron's Falcon-512 is live on Nile, and our profile was two months behind it
A specification, named parameter sets and a live testnet activation all existed before our entry said they didn't.

IOTA moved down after a search for layer-1 quantum work came up empty
Stated intent is no longer enough to hold the Debating floor, and IOTA's shipped post-quantum work protects credentials rather than coins.

Monero and Mochimo joined the index on 13 August 2026
Two rows added on 13 August for opposite reasons: one was the biggest gap we had left, the other signs with no elliptic curve at all.
-
Correction: exposure citations for Bitcoin and Cardano now point at primary sources
Two citations were doing work their sources could not support, so on 13 August we fixed the sourcing and deleted the claim we could not back.

How Algorand became one of the few chains shipping post-quantum defences
Shipping and finished are different things, and the gap between them is where most of the interesting detail lives.

What Bitcoin is, and is not, doing about quantum
The most widely held chain in the world is defended by a draft, and not by the draft most people think.

The big chains where the question was asked and never answered
Enormous holdings sit on chains whose own maintainers have not published a position, and on one of them you can read the request that went nowhere.

Why we rate IOTA Tier 5 when much of the market still calls it quantum-safe
A reputation can outlive the fact it was built on. IOTA's has, by five years and counting.

The quiet chain that already ships a post-quantum signature
Post-quantum protection went live on a mainnet, was audited, and drew almost no attention at all.

The chain that was quantum-resistant before it was a headline
Building for this from the first block is a different discipline from retrofitting it later, and it has a price.
